HOW TO OPT OUT OF NAIS
If your property was entered into the NAIS database without your knowledge or you simply changed your mind and wish to opt out follow these steps.
1) Contact the NYS NAIS Coordinator - write a letter to:

2) Make copies of your letter for yourself and (cc) to your Congressperson and State Legislators. Make sure the cc is visible on the letter you sent to state coordinator. Also send a copy to NYICFA. Sample letter below.
Dear Ms.Blood,
I understand that my property has been listed in the NAIS database as premise # (s)_____________.
Please permanently remove my name , property and any other information regarding me and my property from all NAIS databases.
I request that the information be removed , not listed as inactive , and this applies to both State and Federal databases.
Please respond with a copy of your letter to the USDA authorizing the removal of my information from the NAIS database and send written confirmation of the completion of this request.
